The young Venezuelan, Andrea Dopico Cafarelli, has captivated Catalonia with her bright flavors and Latin American roots. After graduating with honors at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (Vancouver, Canada), Dopico starts her promising career with Carlos Garcia, a student at El Bulli, and the only Venezuelan chef on the San Pellegrino 50 Best list in Latin America. Andrea immediately immersed herself in the haute cuisine, passing by restaurants such as El Club Allard ** in Madrid and MOments ** by Chef Carme Ruscalleda, before representing Spain in the international final of the Chocolate Chef Competition of Valrhona in the city of New York. She established herself as head pastry chef of ABaC*** restaurant, lead by Chef Jordi Cruz, and was part of the team that received the coveted 3 Michelin stars. In 2017 she is recognized by Forbes as one of the young promises among the “30 Under 30” Europe, and in 2018 she is considered one of the “Women to Watch” by Cosmopolitan Magazine. Andrea continued her path as Executive Pastry Chef the Alàbriga Hotel & Home Suites in the hands of Paco Pérez, before diving into her latest projects as tv-host in the food channel Canal Cocina.
