Piercarlo Zanotti started challenging in cooking right after graduating from the hotel management school and an extensive training around the world. In 1998, he got back to Brescia and opened the Ortica in Lonato, Italy which, at first, was a simple tavern. In 2005, he moved Ortica to Manerba, Italy and here it came the leap in quality and the Michelin star, which Piercarlo has been able to bring over to his venue in Bedizzole, Italy. After closing, a few years ago, the Ortica born-again in the Netherlands, where Zanotti had cloned a sister restaurant in 2009. Nowadays, he is the chef of Locanda San Marco, an inn in Toscolano Maderno, Italy.
