Gianni Cocco was born in Nuoro (NU) on 18 February 1980 and in Sardinia, since he was a boy, he began to get passionate about the world of coffee, acquiring his first work experiences in the most important resorts on the island. After moving to Milan, where he still lives today, he worked in the most important clubs in the city, passing over the years from Corso Buenos Aires (Cin Cin Bar) to Brera (El Beverin) and also in Piazza Duomo (Bar Duomo). He is currently developing a new work project that will take him back to Milan in one of the most glamorous and receptive areas of the city. Gianni Cocco is "Italian Coffe Trainer" for Accademia Italiana Maestri del Caffè (AICAF) and "Espresso Italiano Trainer" for Istituto Internazionale Assaggiatori Caffè (IIAC), organizations for which he holds specialized training courses for professionals. An all-round professional in the coffee world, he finds his maximum professional expression in the preparation and decoration of beverages such as cappuccino in latte art, in the use of every method of extraction of coffee and in the sensory analysis of the espresso. Only in the last year he has achieved two prestigious awards reaching the first place in the 4th Grand Prix of the Italian Cafeteria held concurrently with HOST and second place in the Bar Awards 2015 ranking by BarGiornale, the main magazine of the sector, in the Barista category Year. Gianni Cocco still holds two world records with certificates such as Guinness World Record for the highest number of espresso coffees made in an hour (2011) and for the largest cappuccino in the world (2013). He has participated in various television programs such as "Vita in Diretta - RaiUno", "Tu si que vales - Canale 5" and is one of the Tutors of "Detto Fatto - RaiDue". He has several publications in the sector magazines such as "BarGiornale", "Mixerplanet" and "Pasticceria Internazionale" and articles dedicated to him in "Il Corriere della Sera" and "La Repubblica" as well as in various local newspapers.
